We work on all AI areas with a focus on Embodied AI, Interactive AI, and Trustworthy AI.
Our research covers theory, machine learning, reasoning, optimization, decision making and planning, modeling and representation as well as computer vision and natural language processing.
As AI gets deployed, robustness, fairness, accountability, explainability, and privacy become primary concerns: these are also our areas of strengths. Combining all these areas, we look to enable embodied, interactive, and trustworthy AI.
Hosted at the School of Computing, National University of Singapore (NUS), the mission for the NUS Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (NUSAiL) is to be a centre of excellence in AI research, education, and practice, with a focus on the three pillars of human-centred AI technology: embodied AI, interactive AI, and trustworthy AI.
Our students and researchers are mostly located in AI labs 1, 2, 3, and 4, the Computer Vision Lab, and the Computational Linguistic Lab. Faculty members are in COM1, COM2, COM3, and AS6. The Robot Living Studio, shown beside, is where we conduct our robot and human-robot interaction experiments.
